as these video card combinations work perfectly fine in 2 other PC's i have - with ASUS and Gigabyte motherboardssomething I have noticed:when the PCI card is set to primary in I tried installing both cards in safe mode, but it does exactly the same thing as in normal mode. Solution: You are getting this error because your BIOS is likely in native PCIe mode. If it doesn't work after the overinstall I'll come post again.

check the-- control panel - network adapters - properties---then make sure the "use this device is enabled" click ok then restart.

Since the owner said the NIC "just stopped working" you have to consider that this might be purely a hardware problem. So I'm back at square 0.
And the little popup in the bottom right corner saying that there was a problem with hardware installation and it might not work correctly. which will let me run the 3 monitors i want !I believe this is a flaw in the Intel motherboard .. numbers in the device detail tab? I have booted to safe mode and checked for old NICs that aren't removed, there are none.
I have tried removing the PCI one from the machine altogether and installing it before plugging it in, but XP will not allow this to happen.
